  • Languages – I have enjoyed studying a range of languages since school and am currently learning Dutch. I also have a deep interest in the roots of language development and like to research this in my free time.  This is strengthened by personal experience: I have a bilingual niece (Ukrainian/English) and intend to bring up my future children in a bilingual household (Dutch/English).

  • Travel and Culture – I have travelled extensively both with work and in my leisure time. I lived between September 2015 and June 2018 on the border of Switzerland and Italy, and relocated in July 2018 to the Netherlands, close to the German border.
